Taking responsibility for an animal is not something to do on a whim - it is far too common that animals are neglected, abandoned and worse simply because a human didn't consider well enough the implications involved in looking after a pet. Who pays the price for our actions and choices? Who must live with the consequences of our mistakes and ill-planned ventures?
