Why do children develop ADD/ADHD? As with all things psychological, there are many possible contributors, but no one actually knows the answer. So, in the face of uncertainty, we will say it could be one or more of a hundred different things - that way we have all of our bases covered. From the biological perspective, scientists/researchers have found that ADD/ADHD shows a higher prevalence rate within families, which suggests a genetic predisposition.
