We all get stuck sometimes, stuck in our thoughts and emotions. Most of the time we can snap out of it, but sometimes those experiences become overwhelming and we feel like we have no control over them. We sink deeper into despair and powerlessness. We feel like we're drowning. We feel like there's no way out. As much as we feel like we're lost within the thoughts and experiences, we are there only because we believed those thoughts in the first place. We believed them to be true and real. We did not question for even a moment whether our thoughts (our mind) have our best interests at heart.
