We have a strange tendency to impose our way of thinking onto others, so that when someone does something, we automatically assume that they did it the way we would have. EG: Someone does something that hurts your feelings - the only way you would do what they did is if it was deliberate, malicious and intended to cause pain - so you then assume that that is what was behind their actions. BUT - what if there was something completely different going on inside them? Will you take the challenge and embrace the gift of making the time and effort to truly understand that person?
